This year at Telstra Perth Fashion Festival my focus was solely on the Perth City retailers runway. Because, for those that don’t know by now, I am currently the Perth City Fashion Ambassador and Blogger.
So I nestled in nicely to watch the Perth city retailers on the runway at Fashion Central in Forrest Place. And thankfully so as there’s nothing more exciting and enticing to me. Seeing the current seasonal collections and being able to shop the look straight away thereafter is my kind of runway.
My personal favourite looks came from the likes of Anna Thomas and Rhodes & Beckett. Who are both retailers located at Brookfield Place. And there was also Decjuba, David Lawrence and Herringbone. Who are all located at Enex100.
Along with Pigeonhole, Live Clothing, Jay Jays and Myer. All being Forrest Chase residents. And who could forget Melissa Shoes Australia… Oh and I was beyond impressed with Target Australia’s latest spring summer range too! Mainly the Rachael Zheng for Target range which is pretty impressive.
Designs ranged from the chic array of spring summer separates to some pretty cool catch phrase printed tees. I thoroughly enjoyed each and every piece that hit the runway though. As they were all so wearable and equally as easy to build upon each look too…
Standouts for me were anything with a cute print, casual white pants, denim – all things denim for me this season. Oh and the bold and edgy shoes, sleek accessories and statement dresses were super stylish too.
Alas, the three days of viewing new season threads at Fashion Central was incredible. But come Sunday and it wasn’t just about the garments as brand ambassador for Target Australia Jessica Mauboy rocked the runway.
Jess looked fantastic in a slim fitting Target Australia LBD! She teamed it with what looked to me to be some rather comfortable strappy T-bar heels. The heels were clearly comfortable as she actively performed and bounced around the stage to get the crowd pumping. And the audience loved it too as they joined in with her on stage to dance and also take over the microphone to sing along too.
It was a crowd pleasing performance that ended the weekend of free to the public runways on a high note for me. With an equally eye-catching collection that’s suitable for the whole family. And for the fashion forward girl on a budget!
Local fashion bloggers such as Rayne Embley, Adelle Cousins and Marnie Stella (just to name a few) dressed themselves head-to-toe in Target Australia to show their total support.
Thanks for another exciting Perth City retailer runway Perth Fashion Festival!
